A man purchased a horse from a priest. The horse was taught by the priest to move on command by saying "Thank you Lord" and stopping by saying "Hail Mary". The man ventured out onto the plains and decided to see how fast the horse could go. "Thank you Lord" the man spoke and the horse began moving at a slow trot. "Thank you Lord!" he said with more vigor and the horse faithfully obeyed and picked up its pace. "Thank you Lord! Thank you Lord! Thank you Lord!" now he shouted and the horse went on a full out sprint. The man was enjoying himself so much that he did not notice that they were headed towards a cliff. Panic struck as he could not remember the words to stop the horse. He began calling on all the saints and angels. "Hail Saint Peter! Hail Saint John! Save me Jesus!" but the horse plowed on to no avail. Just as the horse was nearing the point of no return, a voice entered the man's head and he recalled the words. "Hail Mary!" the man shouted with all of his might. The horse came to a screeching halt at the edge of the precipice. The man, who was never a believer, knew he had just experienced a miracle. He took a deep sigh of relief, looked up at the heavens and said "Thank you Lord". And the horse faithfully obeyed... lol |

Im sorry. I don't see what's wrong with the joke. It wasn't meant to be racist if that is what you thought. It is just a black guy. I was describing the person as black. If i said "white guy" would you still tell me to "watch the race jokes?" If you're not going to punish me for saying "white man" then i see no reason to punish me as saying "black man." We might as well stop making jokes about brunettes and blondes. Why is that we have to worry about describing people by their race? That Mexican person. That white girl. That black girl. It is just a description of that person. When someone makes a joke about a white person, it seems ok. But when the person is black, people begin to think that the joke is racist. People forget what racism even is. Racism is when you hate against another race. Making jokes that involves black people doesn't imply that it is racist. And JR made a joke about religion. I found it funny  But if you think about it, his joke and my jokes are somewhat the same. Religion can be viewed as a race. Some people are Jewish. Some people are Christians. Some people are Muslims. There are a lot of religion races out there. edit again. I see your guys point of view. I mean, someone could read a joke about their race and find it offensive because it is about them. But that is misinterpretation and ignorance unless the joke is intentionally racist. Still, i don't want to offend. So im sorry to everybody I will stop making these type of jokes on this site. Peace |

Let me start off with this. I did not even get your joke. Secondly, my gif I posted, it was for you all together tbh, not just because of the joke. Yes, you're a friendly person I get that but sometimes you can be overly friendly. I'm not trying to put you on the spot or anything but anyone who knows me, I like to call it how I see it. I know you want the world to be a happy happy place and everyone is friends with everyone but it's not. It just gets really... tiring.  I also want to add on that even if your joke wasn't a "racist joke", you don't know who you're going to offend. I mean c'mon, I didn't even get the joke and the first thing that pop'd up was it was a racist joke. Racist jokes do not offend me. Trust me on that, I can pull out the race card as much as the next person. But unless you know everyone on this site, or you're "tight" with them, you really don't know how people are going to react or take that. I have no problem with you and really this is my point of view, people can agree or disagree but I'm just saaayin'. |

You guys probably thought that this guy went to a bar, and a bunch of guy beat up on him, and that is why he was sent to the hospital.
Heck Freaking No guys.
The trick of the joke that "bar" isn't a place where you drink. It is a metal bar. A rectangular bar that construction workers need to use at construction sites. A metal bar. A rectangular metal bar.
So when a person walks into a bar, he would probably hit his/her head and be sent to the hospital. The joke of the this is the word "bar." It is not a place to drink. It is a rectangular chunk of metal.

Im not trying to cover up anything. I honestly heard this joke in high school. I think. Usually when someone begins "a guy walks into a bar" you would think that it would be a chemistry joke of a neutron and the bartender and the bartender says "no charge." But that is not this kind of joke. So that factor also plays in the humor of the joke. Sigh.

Maybe im not sorry as i wish to be. However, i feel bad to those that i hurt. I do. But at the same time, i don't think im wrong. I don't think im wrong because i think it is all ignorance. I understand how that joke can be misread. So maybe it is not total ignorance for one to misinterpret that joke. I think i have a good argument. And im not going to give up on it unless someone can prove me wrong. edit. I do care if i offend people. Still it is ignorance that is upsetting people. I deleted a long comment of mine because it was too long and personal reasons. The problem with the joke isn't saying "walk" or "went." I think the main problem is saying the word "black" because i doubt JR or anybody would not give their concern if i said "white guy." Im not trying to sound rude. Im just saying what is on my mind. With respect and kindness. |
