heeeey y'all! yesterday i watched an awesome movie, The Aviator, it was really stunning. you might know it, it's from 2004 and won several oscars. it was so amazing, i wanted to share it with you. leonardo di caprio acted so incredibly realistic. howard hughe's great deeds and his immense suffering... what a man. i thought we could need a movie thread where we post movie recommendations, when i go to the video store with my friends we usually don't know which movie to pick and sometimes the ones we choose are really crap. what do you think about it?

It was a really good film. I just watched another Leo D. movie the other night, Hoover. It's based on J. Edgar Hoover, the man who founded the FBI. He should've won an Oscar for that. I don't know if you would enjoy it because you really need to know American history in order to understand certain scenes. How about Inception? Have you seen that one?

What if its a porno movie.does that count as one. You would bring porn into a conversation.
I saw J. Edgar and it was good but long winded. Another Leo movie I liked was Shutter Island. AHHH. It was soo good.
I also like horror movies with lots & lots of gore and guts. My love of scary/creepy movies comes from my mom. She named my sister after the Exorcist girl "Reagan" and let me watch "IT" when I was like 10. Best childhood eva!!

I'm usually okay with gore, but the idea of that one freaks me out.

I think the Human Centipede is more disturbing than scary or gory ... but that is my opinion.
I also like Eli Roth's films ... Hostel being my favorite.
Here is one of his faux trailer segments he did for Grindhouse. ;D

I'm a giant chicken when it comes to horror films. To this day, I still can't watch The Exorcist.

Hells yeah, Miyazaki ftw! Both Goro and Hayoa! You guys should check out those movies if you love studio Ghibli, they are from another amazing animation studio and are definitely on par with Miyazaki movies
