Just curious how each of you handle DSing and saboteurs when playing on your own. Obviously chatting doesn't deter (in fact just incites them more), and I won't sink to their level by DSing back, but at this point I either just leave the game, or wait them out. If they're on the opposite team and lose, they tend to leave the game. So here are my specific questions: 1) Outside of being a mage and freezing castle bomber's bombs on your own team, have you found anything to deter them? 2) Do you leave immediately from the game if someone on your own team is DSing? We all know that it's really a bummer to be working your ass off in a game for 15+ minutes only to have some jerk come in and throw off an evenly matched game. Would love to know if anyone has any tips. Thanks!

We have done a lot of different methods in regards to DS, DSers and sabos.
Lately I haven't dealt with players throwing bombs but when I have, I just play until the end (win or lose) and if the other team is playing clean, I switch. What is funny is usually those who are sabotaging will start playing clean in the next round ... well that is what I've seen.
The DSing is a fun and hot topic to talk about LOL ... you start to recognize who does it so much that you either deal with (if you are on the opposing team) and fight as much as you can ... or you just leave. Well, that is my method
If you are on their team there is a way for you to limit their actions. A friendly FPer taught us about grabbing extra hats. For example, you can grab a upgraded ranger hat, wear it and then grab another one and hold it. We usually will have a couple of ORIs doing that. The hat machine will only produce a certain amount of hats at a time. So basically you are stealing the hat and their capability to cheat by taking the item away.
Here is a thread that was created a while back about DSing.

1) just ignore and beware of sudden bombs... but I seldom meet these players. 2) usually quit & join another game... but depending on situation? - If there are friends in-game, I will most likely stay (unless my friends leave) & then change team during next game. sometimes we do win though \(^^)/ - depending on which team started double shooting first, but then I will tend to avoid playing as priest. - depending who are the dsers there are some that I dislike a lot and will leave game upon seeing their name, lol!!

If they are on the opposite team, I like to chicken them or put a warrior shield in their face for the whole match (though that can be difficult if there is more than one). If they are on my team I'll wait it out then switch sides.

Chsun = Queen of Dsers I do whatever depending on the situation. If I land on the opposite team full of dsers, i simply rage quit IF none of my buds are on the same team as me. Because, i find it impossible to fight a team full of dsers by myself. It's easier to fight them along with your friends because teamwork beats everything ;D The dsers are just noobs who can only win using cheated ways, they tend to switch teams or rage quit after losing several games hahah.

I was suggested from ORIs to either kill them using various classes or using chicken potions long time ago.. The most effective one i thought was the method of stealing hats. I was told that DSing back isn't a good idea, it is pretty much useless since we are playing with professional DSers >_<

It's not so much that we're going against pro DSers, but that we shouldn't stoop to their level, as other players will think ORIs are a bunch of bullies. Stealing hats is probably the best, passive-aggressive way to deal with DSers. However, you need at 3 players to pull it off (you can use 1 player with multiple controllers as well, but it can become unwieldy).

Depend on the situation. lol If the other team DS, and our team don't. - 1 dser, oh yes, we can handle him. - 2 dsers, hmm, quite challenging. - 3+ dsers, let find other games. lol
Normally, I will do as Wenz said since we always play together. Mostly, we switch to the other losing team. I also raged quit a lot but we won against dsers many times too. If both teams ds, I'll play priest and mostly quit the game after that. In my usual time, there are lots of dsers and only few TDM game available. Sad huh?
For Chsun, he/she is a high skill player. I like her a lot when she plays nice. But hate it when she dsing. lol I feel that she will do whatever it takes for her team to win.

The most terrible part is that chsun joined a game and wouldn't quit easily...normally she plays the whole night during prime time..

Back when I used to ds the thing that I hated most was when a warrior would block my shots, stealing hats is always good but a pro dser is always gonna find a way to get a hat. I think halo's and warriors are the best way to go, if u have a priest that can curse a dser while a warrior is blocking their shot that gives u a short period of time to kill em with whatever class you can.

i get a rather sadistic pleasure when i'm a priest, and i ignore the pleas for help from the DSer on the same team. the DSer is forced to run to an outpost, sit down or get killed. i'm curious though. there are password games for RTP to enjoy good games. do ORI members and friends ever play password TDM? Yes we do. Though private games are not as common in TDM, we do have them from time to time.
