I was wondering if anyone was going on Friday to see it?
We are going to try and go early in the morning but will see The Raven with John Cusack ( ;D yum) if it is sold out or what not.

if you did not pre-order tickets online, most likely they are all sold out. I bought my tickets two weeks ago.

We didn't pre-order our tickets. We want to see it but it isn't a big deal if we have to go another day.

Hi ORIs I just saw the Avengers. Here is my review.
"Quite possibly the ultimate ensemble comic book movie put on film"
Review of The Avengers in IMAX 3-D
Is The Avengers the greatest movie ever made? No.
Is it the best ensemble movie ever made? One can make a valid argument.
Is it the best comic-book movie then? No, but it can hang in the top 10.
Is it the best ensemble movie based on a comic book? Quite possibly.
This review will examine the film for what it set out to be – a ensemble comic book based film. In this area, the movie excells and the story and the action are all orchestrated to together masterfully by Joss Whedon.
Plot:
It is like the ultimate Saturday morning cartoon, reminiscent of The Power Rangers when they first started.
Acting:
Magnificent job by Tom Hiddleston. Possible Oscar nod for him. Everyone else shines equally bright – Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and even Scarlett Johansson all have their moments.
Pacing:
pitch perfect. The dialogue and action blend seamlessly together and conversations do not overstay their welcome. It is measured just right for a generation which is prone to being distracted.
Direction/Cinematography:
Very fitting camera work for a director who is more comfortable doing TV shows. The action is not confusing to follow or blurry, it is easy to distinguish what is happening to who and where and that makes the action easy to track and not a headache
Art Direction/Costumes/Sets/Etc:
Like a comic-book come to life. Sublime.
CG Issues:
A discerining eye can tell that the aliens are made of CG, but overall it does its job so that is not laughable or awkward.
Sound:
Excellent. Action scenes are extra loud, talking scenes are at the right volume to be heard.
Visuals:
Hulk was finally perfected. The 3-D worked well especially at the beginning. I am not sure if my eyes became desensitized to the 3-D later on, but the effect was less powerful from the middle of the film and to the end.
Morality:
Positive.
Profanity:
the A word. Used once. (“stupid-ass”)
Re-watchability:
The whole thing from start to finish. Like a good album (London Calling, Back In Black, Nevermind, etc.). But if I were to isolate one part in particular, the final act.
Final Thoughts:
What this movie proves is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When the sequels for the individual heroes' films come out, they will be compared to this film and the inferiority of their scope and limited appeal of some of the other characters such as Thor and Cap will remain. However, there may be an opposite effect, where the individual sequels see an improvement in terms of Box Office due to the audience's enjoyment of Avengers.
The pros:
-exactly what a blockbuster movie should be
The cons:
-Do not go in expecting avant-garde art, or Citizen Kane or even The Godfather or even The Dark Knight. This is purely popcorn movie blockbuster box-office tailored for the masses, with some wit and intelligent writing sprinkled throughout.
The movie is less enjoyable for those who have been exposed to the numerous trailers, featurettes and sneak peeks. This makes some moments which should have had a greater impact much less powerful. I regret watching all the featurettes, listening to the interviews, which were laden with clips from the movie, as I would have enjoyed the movie a lot more and it would have been less predictable.
10/10

I just saw it...and I loved it! I honestly don't believe that you could have made a better Avengers movie.

The big green guy is called The Hulk. I think it was just to get a laugh out of the audience. Hulk knew that Thor could take it.
